Beginning today, the Franklin Park Arts Center will offer a bit of respite for those cooped up at home as part of the effort to tamp down the spread of COVID-19. The staff is organizing a schedule of online presentations featuring area artists every day at noon.

The Lunch with the Arts series kicks off today with a 15-minute watercolor lesson by Kris Loya on the center’s Facebook page. Those wishing to participate are encouraged to round up a few paintbrushes, a set of watercolors, some watercolor paper or thick cardstock, a Jar of water, a paper towel or old rag and to go outside for inspiration.

Also, on tap to contribute this week are singer/songwriters Andrew McKnight and Danny Knicely, and actor Rich Fink.

The live presentations will be posted online to be available for viewing anytime.
