Nearly 1,000 outdoors enthusiasts flocked to B Chord Brewing Company on Saturday to participate in the AT Festival, Round Hill’s annual celebration of its backyard access to the Appalachian Trail.

The daylong event featured displays by area hiking clubs and environmental groups, musical performances, and workshops on outdoor safety and trail life. Included in the highlights were presentations by Warren Doyle, who holds the record of hiking the entire trail more times than any other person logging 38,000 miles. He discussed the challenges of the trail and the tips that help hikers prepare for successful through-hikes, an enterprise that only 25% of hikers successfully complete.
