After a two-year touring hiatus, legendary drummer Carl Palmer kicked off a new tour this week and will be bringing his innovative performance of Emerson Lake & Palmer hits to the Tally Ho stage Tuesday night.

Named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 10 greatest drumers of all time, Palmer is a founding member of both ELP and Asia.

The show includes material that has not been performed in many years, along with video footage that highlights ELP’s history.

Bandmates Greg Lake and Keith Emmerson died in 2016. Palmer’s ELP Legacy project features guitarist/singer Paul Bielatowicz and bassist/Chapman stick player Simon Fitzpatrick.

The tour marks the launch of a series of events planned over the next three years to celebrate the music and history of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Those plans include the release of a biography and documentary about the group.
