Henway Hard Cider invites the public to join as a participant or spectator for the inaugural Adult Field Day on Saturday, benefiting the Boulder Crest Foundation.
The Veteran-led Boulder Crest Foundation is a 501(c)3 located in Bluemont that uses Posttraumatic Growth to heal, train and advocate for combat veterans, first responders, and their families who have experienced trauma. Boulder Crest Foundation works to improve outcomes for veterans and first responders through training that teaches individuals how to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
Participants in the Aug. 28 event will organize into teams of 10 and bring their competitive spirit and enthusiasm for philanthropy as they travel back in time and participate in everyone’s childhood favorite field day games.
The day will kick off at 10 a.m. when participants fuel up with a pancake breakfast, prior to heading to the field to compete in 10 field games, including grade school favorites such as jumbo Jenga and tug of war, to farm inspired funtivities. The festivities will culminate at the awards ceremony at Henway Hard Cider, with live music, farm fresh cider, and dishes from the Bird Bites Kitchen, as awards are presented for the team earning the top score in the field games, most spirited team, and top fundraising team in support of Boulder Crest Foundation.
