Woodgrove High School drama director Addie Schafer Benko is on a mission to get theater kids back to doing what they love.
Like other performing arts organizations around the country, the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra and Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra hit a wall last March. This fall, each organization is focused on doing what it can to keep symphonic music alive in Loudoun.
The popular jam band Railroad Earth should have been playing their annual show at the storied 9,500-seat Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado this weekend. But COVID threw a wrench in those plans. Instead, they’ll be returning to live gigs for the first time since March with three days of outdoor shows at a low-key venue in rural western Loudoun.
