Thirteen of Loudoun’s best youth bands will take the stage at the Tally Ho Theater tonight to compete for the top spot in Loudoun Youth’s annual Battle of the Bands.
Prizes on the table include two hours of mentored songwriting sessions with Todd Wright, full and half day recording sessions at Blue Room Productions and $900 in cash awards.
The finalists were selected during three rounds of competition held in December, January and February. They are:
Dec. 7: King Street, first place; The Establishment, second place; Seia Campbell, soloist; The Knuckleheads, fan favorite.
Jan. 25: Shreve Mill, first place; Leijtsu, second place; Jintamiko, soloist; Market Garden, fan favorite.
Feb. 22: Echo, first place; Oh, Lily, second place; Zoe Mutreja, soloist; KAGE, fan favorite.
Also on the bill is last year’s top prize winner: Stone Cold.
The show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 at the door.
