Deadheads unite this weekend for an evening of Grateful Dead songs performed by an area cover band.
Hillsboro’s Old Stone School on Friday, Aug. 3 from 6:30-10 p.m. will host a performance by Beggar’s Tomb, a Grateful Dead tribute band. The five-member band performs music from different eras of the band’s storied history “in a faithful representation of the original artist,” according to its website. The band’s name stems from the Grateful Dead song “Uncle John’s Band,” which contains the lyrics “I live in a silver mine and I call it Beggar’s Tomb.”
