Loudoun’s annual book lovers feast—the Loudoun Library Foundation Book Sale—opens Friday morning at Smart Mill Middle School in Leesburg and continues through Sunday.
It’s the 29th year for the massive sale. More than 100,000 books, DVDs, CDs, and games will fill the gymnasiums and classrooms at the school. Money raised from the sale—with prices ranging from a few quarters to a couple of dollars—is used to support programs at the Loudoun County Public Library, including its popular Summer Reading Program.
Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. On Sunday, visitors can fill a bag of books for $10.
