Ninety-one Loudoun County farms, craft beverage producers and special event venues will be open to the public during the Spring Farm Tour, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20.

This event is a self-guided tour where participants can visit as many or as few tour sites as they wish. Free printed brochures listing all the sites are available at county libraries and community centers, and online at: loudounfarms.org/farmtour.

There are seven new sites on this year’s tour:Alivio Farm near Lovettsville; Fort Bacon Farm near Purcellville;Greenstone Fields near Purcellville;Homestead 1870 near Lovettsville; Lost Corner Farm near Lucketts;Sunny Hill Farm near Purcellville;and The Farm at Walnut Creek near Hamilton.

This year, the Department of Economic Development has added six themed itineraries to the farm tour brochure and map so that participants can easily select or create a tour that best suits their needs. They showcase hands-on activities for people who learn by doing, and places where you can pet, plant or pick. People who enjoy fresh farm food will find lots of options and shoppers will find one-of-a-kind items. For adults, there are plenty of places to sit back with a local wine or craft beverage and enjoy the view.
