A gentle reminder, dear readers, that if the Loudoun County or Lucketts Fairs didn’t scratch your itch for food on a stick and gigantic stuffed animal prizes, One Loudoun has you covered with its Jolly Shows Carnival, on through Aug. 27!
More than 40 different attractions, including rides, games, food and prizes for all should prove an antidote to a quiet summer evening—any summer evening, in fact, as the carnival is ongoing Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Admission is free but tickets for rides and attractions do carry a fee—$1.50 for a single ticket, $35 for a sheet of 30 tickets or $55 for a sheet of 50 tickets. Wristbands that give the wearer access to unlimited rides are also available for $25 per person (for use Monday through Friday) or $30 per person (for use Saturday and Sunday).
